| Your Meindl dealer is for sure doing laces. A recommendation from our side: if the laces are too long, just cut them and carefully burn the ends in a flame to close the ends. |

| This can happen when the boots are heavily used. When the leather lining gets wet and is dried too quickly, then the leather gets hard. Please take your pair of boots to a local shoemaker or to a Meindl dealer who will send the boots to our shoemakers to be repaired. |

| The fixing of the rings and hooks is done in a very careful way, but it is one of 200 different steps of handiwork on a pair of trekking boots. If the rings or hooks do come off, please contact a local shoemaker. Important: In a Gore- Tex lined boot the rings and hooks may not be fixed through the Gore- Tex lining, otherwise the membrane is destroyed and the boot will leak. |

| Soles can, as long as the upper is still in good condition, be either glued or resoled. Your shoemaker can order the original soles at Meindl. Or you can contact your Meindl dealer who will send them to the Meindl boot production. We will resole the boots with original soles at our cost price. |

| If the soles of a new pair of boots is slippery, this can come from the silicon which was put into the form of the sole. If the soles of an already used boot is slippery, the surface of the soles gets hard and therefore slippery- a typical property of vulcanised rubber. Please do roughen the surface of the outsole of your boots with the help of emery paper or do walk with your pair of boots on asphalt to open the surface of the outsole. |

We only use Nylon threads made out of Polyamid. Tough conditions, like stones and trees.
Restiching is no problem and it can be done by any shoe repair service. With Gore- Tex lined boots: Never stitch trough the membrane, otherwise the boots will leak. |
