Perfect fit and adjustment to the shape of your feet – these are the outstanding properties of the MFS® vacuum trekking footwear. Perfect harmony of materials, technology and workmanship. The result: an incomparably pleasant walking experience!

Meindl Multigriff®2 by Vibram® with SRSystem

The PU soft-tread wedge encloses the shock absorber in the heel area like a cup, thereby ensuring soft cushioning. The opening in the PU wedge on the side helps to better reduce the absorbed energy.

Alpine

Alpine Trek GTX

Stretch collar

An integrated collar made from stretch material forms the collar of the boot. It fits tightly without causing any pressure on the leg. The opening can be adjusted by means of a cord. The collar prevents sand, stone, rock, ice and snow from getting into the boot.

The higher rubber rand all around the boot

On the inside, the rubber reaches
higher up than on the outside of the boot, thereby offering more protection when climbing. The higher rubber rand is particularly important in the toe area.

Laces

The laces start very far forward, near the toes, to ensure secure hold of forefoot and toes. A perfect hold is particularly important for climbing. The eyelets are very flat and close to the boot.

Shoe-making at its best!
Double-stitching

Genuine double-stitching – Quality at first sight

We have been convinced of the traditional craftsmanship
of double-stitching for generations. This tradition requires
absolute mastery and only very few shoemakers still
command the skill to do it. Some of our mountain and
trekking boots, and of course most of our classic brogues,
are genuinely double-stitched. They stand out with their
particularly high quality and outstandingly long service life.
The typical feature of a double-stitched boots is the visible
double seam.

Air Revolution® technology by Meindl

The air-conditioned footwear. The innovation for optimum conditions in the boot and improved breathability.

The entire tongue is a combination of 3D mesh and a cushioning, reticulate, perforated sponge material (1) that causes the pumping action. To achieve an anatomical shape, a stabiliser made from micro fleece (2) is sewn on to the tongue. A very strong Velcro strap (3) is integrated in the forefoot area and at the end of the tongue to secure the tongue.

More ventilation, more pump-action.

The technology of the Air Revolution® line was further improved. In addition, a sock has been developed that is tailored to the function of the boot and makes the Air Revolution® system perfect.

The tongue now has newly defined ventilation ducts. The big ventilation perforation (3) is on both sides and covered by mesh material (1). Thus, there is no impairment of ventilation or reduction of sturdiness. The waisted tongue adjusts perfectly to the shape of the foot. Also new are the reticulate, large-pored foams that are used and have a positive effect on adaptability.

  • (1) 3D mesh fabric on both sides
  • (2) MFS foam with large pores
  • (3) reticulate, perforated sponge
  • (4) warp
  • Perforated, reticulate sponge throughout

As revolutionary as the boot

The functioning of the Air Revolution® sock is tailored in the most minute detail to the Air Revolution® footwear, with slightly thicker padding on the instep and minimised friction zones. The patented air ducts and tubes support the pump-action of the boot perfectly.

  • additional ventilation ducts – Air Revolution® tubes improve the climate in the boot
  • soft, non-slip collar
  • distinct padding along the shin
  • stretch allowance for perfect fit and comfort
  • special padding for pressure-sensitive problem zones
  • plush sole with patented ventilation ducts

Lasting

Compared to injection moulding, lasting offers more dimensional stability because the upper is mounted over the last. The leather comes down as far as the insole – this is what makes the boot‘s quality so outstanding.

Leather footbed

Footbed from vegetable tanned leather

ensures perfect climate in the boot

Easy-lacing eyelets

Thanks to its special shape, the lace runs easily through the eyelets. The eyelets themselves are made from metal and as such, are very sturdy.

Multigrip®- &
Multigriff®-Soles

About 30 years ago, the Meindl Multigrip profile was first developed and has since proven its worth millions of times over in various boot models. Concave cross-section, high skid resistance at the edges, good shock absorption characteristics and self-cleaning profile with abrasive areas are the predominate elements of the Meindl Multigrip® sole, which is exclusively made for Meindl by Vibram®. Also available in a modified design and appropriate to the category of use.

Wellness Hiker footbed concept

The entire Comfort Fit footbed consists of cork. To bind the cork, some binding agent is used to ensure high moisture permeability of the footbed. The moisture is taken up and transported by the integrated fleece.

Advantages of natural cork Purely natural

Lightness

As 89% of its structure is gaseous, the density of cork is extremely low (between 480 and 520 kg/m3).

Elasticity

The unique structure of the cells makes the footbed so pleasant to wear – both
standing and walking.

Moisture control

Climate regulating thanks to unique
moisture control.

Heat

Cork adjusts to the temperature and
ensures a pleasant climate in the shoe.

Ecologically sustainable

Thanks to the sensible economic use of cork oak, the preservation of cork forests and hence the ecological balance are ensured.

Mastery in craftsmanship -

this is how we make our
double-stitched models!

We decide on the traditional production method and double-stitch many of our winter boots and some of our mountain boots and brogues. This sewing technique requires absolute mastery and only very few shoemakers still command the skill to do it.

The shaft is stitched to connect the upper part of the shoe with the sole (see image).
